14 sc and 16 rows = 4x4 inches (10x10 cm). Gauge is important for fit.

Abbreviations

• ch — chain
• sk — skip the next stitch
• sc — single crochet
• sc blo — single crochet in the back loop only
• inc — 2 sc in the same stitch
• shell — 5 dc in the same stitch
• tr — treble crochet
• dc — double crochet

Pattern notes

• Work in continuous rounds unless stated to turn.
• Ch 1 at the start of a round does not count as a stitch.

1. Hem & Lower Body

We begin with a sage green base and transition to warm cream, working in the round to create a seamless, ribbed texture.

• Row 1: 81 ch [81]
• Row 2: sk, 80 sc [80]
• Round 3: sc in each stitch around [80] — Slst to join into a ring, being careful not to twist the chain.
• Rounds 4–6: sc blo in each stitch around [80]

1. Fasten off Sage Green and join Warm Cream for the next section if not already using it, or continue in Warm Cream if you changed colors at the start of round 3.

2. Armhole Shaping

We shape the armholes by creating chain spaces, forming a comfortable drop-shoulder fit.

• Round 7: 80 sc picked up evenly [80]
• Round 8: 30 sc, 10 ch, 10 sk, 30 sc, 10 ch, 10 sk [80]
• Rounds 9–13: sc in each stitch around [80]

1. Fasten off after completing the armhole shaping. You will continue the body in the next section.

3. Upper Body

Continue working in the round, completing the main body of the top.

• Round 14: 80 sc picked up evenly [80]
• Rounds 15–18: sc blo in each stitch around [80]

1. Fasten off Warm Cream. The body is now complete.

4. Flutter Sleeves

Pick up stitches around the armholes and work downwards in dusty rose, adding gentle increases for a romantic flutter effect.

• Round 1: 30 sc picked up evenly [30]
• Rounds 2–4: sc in each stitch around [30]
• Round 5: (inc, 2 sc) × 10 [40]
• Rounds 6–8: sc in each stitch around [40]
• Round 9: (inc, 3 sc) × 10 [50]
• Rounds 10–12: sc in each stitch around [50]
• Round 13: (3 sc, sk, shell) × 10 [80]

1. Fasten off Dusty Rose. Repeat this entire section for the second sleeve.

5. Neckband

Finish the wide neckline with a delicate, ribbed band in dusty rose to frame the collarbone.

• Round 1: 60 sc picked up evenly [60]
• Rounds 2–3: sc blo in each stitch around [60]

1. Fasten off Dusty Rose. The neckband is complete.

6. WithMe signature heart

The same little heart sits on every WithMe original — our way of signing it with love. Use any contrast colour from the project.

• Round 1: 3 tr, 3 dc, ch, tr, ch, 3 dc, 3 tr in a magic ring [15] — Ch 3 first (it doesn't count as a stitch). After the last stitch, ch 3 and sl st into the ring, then pull the ring tight — the dip at the top of the heart forms as you pull.

1. Fasten off, leaving a tail for sewing the heart in place.

Finishing

1. Weave in all ends securely using a tapestry needle.
2. Block the garment lightly to open up the scalloped sleeve edges and even out the stitches.
3. Sew the small signature WithMe heart in blush on the lower left front hem, just above the sage green section.

• Use a stitch marker on the first stitch of every round to keep your edges neat and your stitch count accurate.
• When picking up stitches for the sleeves, ensure you pick up through both loops of the foundation chains for a sturdy edge.
