Whispering Pines Cozy Crop Top: Free crochet pattern

• ch — chain
• sk — skip the next stitch
• sc — single crochet
• sc blo — single crochet in the back loop only
• hdc — half double crochet
• sl st — slip stitch
• tr — treble crochet
• dc — double crochet

Pattern notes

• Worked in two identical panels seamed at shoulders and sides.
• Turning chains do not count as stitches unless specified.
• The signature heart is added at the very end.

1. Panels (Make 2)

Work the ribbed hem first, then pick up stitches along the edge to work the main body in a simple half double crochet stitch.

• Row 1: 11 ch [11]
• Row 2: sk, 10 sc [10]
• Rows 3–11: sc blo in each stitch across [10]
• Row 12: 60 sc picked up evenly [60]
• Rows 13–46: hdc in each stitch across [60]

1. Fasten off. Repeat this entire section to make the second panel.

2. Neckline Band

Pick up stitches evenly around the neckline to create a snug, ribbed collar that frames the face beautifully.

• Round 1: 80 sc picked up evenly [80]
• Round 2: sc blo in each stitch around [80]
• Round 3: sl st in each stitch around [80]

1. Fasten off.

3. Armhole Bands (Make 2)

Finish the armholes with a matching ribbed band to give the sleeves a polished, cozy edge.

• Round 1: 50 sc picked up evenly [50]
• Round 2: sc blo in each stitch around [50]
• Round 3: sl st in each stitch around [50]

1. Fasten off. Repeat for the second armhole.

4. WithMe signature heart

The same little heart sits on every WithMe original — our way of signing it with love. Use any contrast colour from the project.

• Round 1: 3 tr, 3 dc, ch, tr, ch, 3 dc, 3 tr in a magic ring [15] — Ch 3 first (it doesn't count as a stitch). After the last stitch, ch 3 and sl st into the ring, then pull the ring tight — the dip at the top of the heart forms as you pull.

1. Fasten off, leaving a tail for sewing the heart in place.

Finishing

1. Block both panels to measurements.
2. Sew shoulder seams using mattress stitch.
3. Sew side seams, leaving 8" [20 cm] open at the bottom for the hem and 6" [15 cm] open at the top for armholes.
4. Weave in all ends.
5. Sew the small WithMe signature heart in dusty rose yarn on the lower left front hem.
