Pattern notes
- Worked in continuous rounds; use a stitch marker to track the first stitch of each round.
- Change colors at the end of the last stitch of the previous round to ensure a clean transition.
1. Base
Start with Warm Cream (A) to create a sturdy, flat foundation for your basket.

- Round 1: 6 hdc in a magic ring [6]
- Round 2: inc × 6 [12]
- Round 3: (inc, hdc) × 6 [18]
- Round 4: (inc, 2 hdc) × 6 [24]
- Round 5: (inc, 3 hdc) × 6 [30]
- Round 6: (inc, 4 hdc) × 6 [36]
- Round 7: (inc, 5 hdc) × 6 [42]
- Round 8: (inc, 6 hdc) × 6 [48]
- Fasten off Warm Cream (A). Join Dusty Rose (B) with a slip stitch in any stitch.
2. Lower Sides
Begin working up the sides in Dusty Rose (B), introducing the ribbed texture.

- Rounds 9–11: (FPdc, BPdc) × 24 picked up evenly [48]
3. Upper Sides
Continue the ribbed pattern to build the height and structure of the basket.

- Rounds 12–14: (FPdc, BPdc) × 24 picked up evenly [48]
- Fasten off Dusty Rose (B). Join Sage Green (C) with a slip stitch in any stitch.
4. Edge
Finish the top edge with a crisp, clean round of single crochets in Sage Green (C).
- Round 15: sc × 48 picked up evenly [48]
- Slip stitch to the first single crochet to join.
5. WithMe signature heart
The same little heart sits on every WithMe original — our way of signing it with love. Use any contrast colour from the project.
- Round 1: 3 tr, 3 dc, ch, tr, ch, 3 dc, 3 tr in a magic ring [15] — Ch 3 first (it doesn't count as a stitch). After the last stitch, ch 3 and sl st into the ring, then pull the ring tight — the dip at the top of the heart forms as you pull.
- Fasten off, leaving a tail for sewing the heart in place.
Finishing
- Fasten off and weave in all ends securely on the inside of the basket.
- Using a tapestry needle and a small scrap of blush yarn, sew the standard WithMe signature heart flat against the front center of the sage green edge.
Tips from the WithMe studio
- If you want a stiffer basket, you can brush the inside with a mixture of equal parts white glue and water, then let it dry over a bowl.
- When changing colors, pull the new color through the last loop of the old color to prevent gaps.
