1. Jar Cozy Base, Body & Scalloped Edge
Start at the bottom and work upwards, creating a flat circular base before transitioning into a textured ribbed wall and finishing with a delicate scalloped border.

- Round 1: 6 sc in a magic ring [6]
- Round 2: inc × 6 [12]
- Round 3: (sc, inc) × 6 [18]

- Round 12: (sl st, 2 sk, shell, 2 sk) × 6 [36] — Change to Warm Cream at the beginning of this round.
- Fasten off and weave in ends.
2. Botanical Leaf Accent
Work a small, pointed leaf flat in sage green to add a natural, organic touch to the design.

- Row 3: inc, 6 sc, inc [10]

3. Little Stem
Create a tiny, tapered stem to attach just above the leaf for a complete botanical motif.

- Row 1: 5 ch [5]
- Row 2: 2 sk, 3 sc [3]
- Row 3: sc in each stitch across [3]

- Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.
4. WithMe signature heart
The same little heart sits on every WithMe original — our way of signing it with love. Use any contrast colour from the project.
- Round 1: 3 tr, 3 dc, ch, tr, ch, 3 dc, 3 tr in a magic ring [15] — Ch 3 first (it doesn't count as a stitch). After the last stitch, ch 3 and sl st into the ring, then pull the ring tight — the dip at the top of the heart forms as you pull.
- Fasten off, leaving a tail for sewing the heart in place.
Finishing
- Block the main body lightly if needed to ensure the base lies perfectly flat.
- Pin the leaf and stem to the front of the dusty rose body, positioning the stem just above the leaf.
- Sew the leaf and stem securely in place using the sage green tail.
- Sew the WithMe signature heart onto the front center of the dusty rose body, positioned just below the warm cream scalloped edge.
- Weave in all remaining ends securely.
Tips from the WithMe studio
- If your cozy feels too loose, try using a smaller hook for the ribbed body to create a tighter, snugger fit.
- When sewing the leaf and stem, use a small piece of felt behind them if you want them to stand up slightly away from the jar.

Frequently asked questions
Can I use a different size jar?
Yes! To fit a smaller jar, stop increasing the base a round earlier. For a larger jar, add one more increase round before starting the ribbed body.
Is this cozy safe for real candles?
Because it is made of cotton, it is more flame-resistant than acrylic, but we always recommend using a battery-operated LED candle for complete safety.
