Abbreviations

  • sc — single crochet
  • inc — 2 sc in the same stitch
  • hdc — half double crochet
  • ch — chain
  • sk — skip the next stitch
  • tr — treble crochet
  • dc — double crochet

Pattern notes

  • Work in continuous rounds for the base and body; do not join unless specified.
  • The flap is worked flat, picking up stitches along the back edge of the body.
  • Change colours at the end of the last stitch of the previous round or row.

1. Base

Worked in the round from the center out to create a sturdy, flat foundation.

A flat, circular piece of warm cream yarn showing the gradual increases.
  • Round 1: 6 sc in a magic ring [6]
  • Round 2: inc × 6 [12]
  • Round 3: (sc, inc) × 6 [18]
  • Round 4: (2 sc, inc) × 6 [24]
  • Round 5: (3 sc, inc) × 6 [30]
  • Round 6: (4 sc, inc) × 6 [36]
  • Round 7: (5 sc, inc) × 6 [42]
  • Round 8: (6 sc, inc) × 6 [48]
  1. Fasten off warm cream.

2. Body

Worked up the sides in dusty rose to form the main compartment of the pouch.

The circular base with several rounds of dusty rose half double crochet worked upwards.
  • Rounds 9–16: 48 hdc picked up evenly [48]
  1. Fasten off dusty rose.

3. Flap

Worked flat across the back edge in blush, finishing with a delicate scalloped border.

The back of the pouch showing the blush flap extending upwards with a scalloped top edge.
  • Row 1: 24 sc picked up evenly [24]
  • Rows 2–7: sc in each stitch across [24]
  • Row 8: 10 sc, 10 ch, 10 sk, 4 sc [24]
  1. Fasten off blush.

4. Strap

A simple, sturdy strap worked in sage green to carry the pouch comfortably.

  • Row 1: 120 ch [120]
  • Row 2: sk, 119 sc [119]
  1. Fasten off sage green, leaving a long tail for sewing.

5. WithMe signature heart

The same little heart sits on every WithMe original — our way of signing it with love. Use any contrast colour from the project.

  • Round 1: 3 tr, 3 dc, ch, tr, ch, 3 dc, 3 tr in a magic ring [15] — Ch 3 first (it doesn't count as a stitch). After the last stitch, ch 3 and sl st into the ring, then pull the ring tight — the dip at the top of the heart forms as you pull.
  1. Fasten off, leaving a tail for sewing the heart in place.
