Pattern notes
- Work bobbles by yarn over, insert hook, pull up a loop 4 times, yarn over and pull through all 5 loops.
- Change colours at the end of the designated rows to create the smooth ombre effect.
- The first chain of the foundation does not count as a stitch.
1. Dusty Rose Body
Begin the main body of the lapghan in our deepest, coziest shade. The zigzag pattern starts to take shape here.

- Row 1: 49 ch [49]
- Row 2: sk, (bobble, 3 sc) × 12 [48]
- Row 3: (sc, bobble, 2 sc) × 12 [48]
- Row 4: (2 sc, bobble, sc) × 12 [48]
- Row 5: (3 sc, bobble) × 12 [48]
- Row 6: (bobble, 3 sc) × 12 [48]
- Row 7: (sc, bobble, 2 sc) × 12 [48]
- Row 8: (2 sc, bobble, sc) × 12 [48]
- Row 9: (3 sc, bobble) × 12 [48]
- Row 10: (bobble, 3 sc) × 12 [48]
- Fasten off dusty rose and join blush.
2. Blush & Sage Body
Continue the zigzag texture as the colours transition softly. This section bridges the deeper tones with our fresh sage.

- Row 11: (sc, bobble, 2 sc) × 12 picked up evenly [48]
- Row 12: (2 sc, bobble, sc) × 12 [48]
- Row 13: (3 sc, bobble) × 12 [48]
- Row 14: (bobble, 3 sc) × 12 [48]
- Row 15: (sc, bobble, 2 sc) × 12 [48]
- Row 16: (2 sc, bobble, sc) × 12 [48]
- Row 17: (3 sc, bobble) × 12 [48]
- Row 18: (bobble, 3 sc) × 12 [48]
- Row 19: (sc, bobble, 2 sc) × 12 [48]
- Row 20: (2 sc, bobble, sc) × 12 [48]
- Fasten off blush and join sage green. Repeat Rows 11-20 for the remaining sage green rows, ending on Row 20.
3. Warm Cream Body
Finish the main body in our softest neutral. The warm cream provides a bright, airy contrast to the textured bobbles.

- Row 31: (3 sc, bobble) × 12 picked up evenly [48]
- Row 32: (bobble, 3 sc) × 12 [48]
- Row 33: (sc, bobble, 2 sc) × 12 [48]
- Row 34: (2 sc, bobble, sc) × 12 [48]
- Row 35: (3 sc, bobble) × 12 [48]
- Row 36: (bobble, 3 sc) × 12 [48]
- Row 37: (sc, bobble, 2 sc) × 12 [48]
- Row 38: (2 sc, bobble, sc) × 12 [48]
- Row 39: (3 sc, bobble) × 12 [48]
- Row 40: (bobble, 3 sc) × 12 [48]
- Fasten off warm cream.
4. Cream Border
Add a clean, simple border to frame the textured body and give the lapghan a finished, professional look.
- Round 1: 144 sl st picked up evenly [144]
- Round 2: sl st in each stitch around [144]
- Join with a slip stitch to the first slip stitch. Fasten off.
5. WithMe signature heart
The same little heart sits on every WithMe original — our way of signing it with love. Use any contrast colour from the project.
- Round 1: 3 tr, 3 dc, ch, tr, ch, 3 dc, 3 tr in a magic ring [15] — Ch 3 first (it doesn't count as a stitch). After the last stitch, ch 3 and sl st into the ring, then pull the ring tight — the dip at the top of the heart forms as you pull.
- Fasten off, leaving a tail for sewing the heart in place.
Finishing
- Weave in all yarn ends securely using a yarn needle.
- Sew the signature WithMe heart in warm cream on the bottom right corner of the lapghan.
- Block gently by pinning to the finished dimensions and lightly steaming to even out the bobble stitches and relax the fibres.
Tips from the WithMe studio
- Keep your tension relaxed when working the bobble stitches to ensure they pop nicely and remain soft.
- Place a stitch marker in the last stitch of each row to keep your count accurate, as the bobbles can sometimes hide the edge stitches.

Frequently asked questions
Can I make this lapghan larger?
Yes! Simply chain a multiple of 4 for your foundation, and work the pattern until the blanket reaches your desired length.
What if my bobbles look too tight?
Try using a hook half a millimetre larger just for the bobble stitches, or consciously pull your yarn looser when pulling through the 5 loops.
